Abstract

Nowadays, the funds for Public Higher Education Institutions, PHEI, are limited, even in development countries, for that reason, many governments are looking for different ways to diversify the incomes of those institutions. This paper shows the funding models for PHEI of a German federal states group, following a classification based in the position –Percentile– of specific variables. The models of financing developed correspond to the following German federated states: Berlin, Brandenburg, Baden-Württemberg, Low Saxony, Bremen, Hamburg, Hesse and Schleswig-Holstein.
