Abstract

Pedagogically speaking, the Spanish Transition to democracy shows an interesting profile because of the relevant educational issues involved at that moment. Among them we can find some outstanding debates such as the background of the teachers –with special attention to labour conflicts– and the differents acts on education about the free of compulsory education, the on-going debates on university autonomous or the establishment of some criteria for the school community in order to improve the rates of democracy in every school funded by the State.
