Abstract

Cervantes wasn’t a multiculturalist writer who lived four centuries before this concept existed. His life experience as a soldier in the Lepanto Battle and as a prisioner of berber pirates in Algiers and also the concrete study of all the references he makes in his Masterpiece towards the Moors, reaffirm him as a Catholic and Spa- nish author, who had a huge compassion towards the Moorish, but who couldn’t be able to identify him with their point of view.
